The Silversmith hotel is within walking distance to many attractions, and the El and bus are close by and easy to use.
-
It's best to use the shuttles the hotel provides.
-
Take the El - especially if you're traveling from O'Hare airport to downtown Chicago. $2 per rider, each way (no change provided though... so bring small bills). The whole ride took us about 45 mins to one hour... and was much cheaper than the potentially $40 cab ride (and you avoid the traffic snarls!!) It was so easy - and the subways were cleaner than other ones I've seen (such as Toronto's subway system).
Walking many places is awesome - and would highly recommend it - since it gives you a chance to experience the city and to see the amazing architecture. Bring good walking shoes!!

People I met in the streets were mostly friendly and helpful. The buildings were beautiful. But Chicago Pizza can't compare to New York's.
-
Everything is very accessible from the Congress Plaza. We were able to walk everywhere we needed to go, so it was also a very convenient place to stay as well as clean.
-
Restaurants and bars are great - awesome shopping! All around great people in Chicago - definitely going back again if I can find more reasonable pricing for hotels.

Chicago is a great city. Make sure to take a double decker bus tour and sit on the top, weather permitting.
-
Walk through Chicago so that you don`t miss any details.
Chicago is a wonderful city.

I recommend the Chicago Architecture Society tours. I also enjoyed the Oriental Museum at the University of Chicago. BTW, you can no longer walk or drive past Obama's house.

Forget about the CUBS GO SOX!!!!!!!
