Located in Clybourn Corridor, Steppenwolf Theatre is considered one of the giants of Chicago theatre industry. Steppenwolf started out in the basement of a church in Highland Park. In 1974, Gary Sinise, Terry Kinney and Jeff Perry founded this award winning company, which is now considered one of the best theatres in the country, and offers brilliant performances by illustrious actors and actresses. 

Steppenwolf Theatre is a patron of the arts and produces great talent such as Laurie Metcalf and John Malkovich. In 1988, Steppenwolf presented the world premiere of The Grapes of Wrath, which received the Tony Award for Best Play.

You will enjoy watching some par excellence theatre stuff at this popular spot. You will feel the cozy ambience and the viewing experience is usually memorable.

Delight in some old time classics or new entertaining works.  If the tickets seem pricey, you can become an usher for a day and see the show for free.

After the show stop by Alinea (312-867-0110) - a swanky, formal dining spot that serves up New American fare with a redefinition.  On the cheaper side, you may want to dine at Boka (312-337-6070) - a trendy and casual dinner house.

Later, unwind at TheCopa where the ambience is up-classy and modern. The interiors are stylish and the crowd is trendy. The DJs play a variety of music including funk, rock and hip-hop. A nice spot to swing the night away.

House of Two Urns  B and B, is a nice comfortable hotel located near the theatre, that serves complimentary breakfast.
