Chicago Theater was built in 1921 at a cost of $4 million and is famous for its 17th century French Baroque style architecture. This theatre was built to be a flagship for all the theatres in the city.
On the exterior, you will see a small replica of Jean Chalgrin's, Arc de Triomphe (1806). The original is displayed in Paris and is an important landmark of the city. The building is a registered landmark and the only one of its existent classical revival kind in the city.
