Chicago Cultural Center is located in the downtown area, and is famous for its landmark building. The Beaux Art structure speaks for the cultural leadership of Chicago. Go in from the Randolph Street entrance, through the mahogany doors and notice the coffered ceilings. The stairways use pink marble and bronze railings. Go to the Grand Army of the Republic Memorial hall at the north wing. See the tall Knoxville pink marble walls and the stunning French Renaissance styled stained glass dome. The Sidney R. Yates Gallery, is an admirable replica of a spectacular gothic palace in Venice. Notice the heavily adorned walls and coffered ceiling.
