Lake Shore Park - Chicago Hotels .com

Sitting atop the original sand dunes of Lake Michigan, Lake Shore Park was built around the early 19th century. It is located between Lake Michigan and the Museum of Contemporary Art. It is a popular spot for recreation, relaxation and people watching.

Traverse around the scenic beauty, jog on the quarter mile soft surface running track, walk the paths or explore the biking trails. Feel free to use their tennis courts, full size gym and the well equipped fitness center.

The park also has softball diamonds and a playground; and often plays host to community events. Lake Shore Park also offers meeting rooms that you may want to rent for family events. You can find a lot of locals and tourists at this Chicago park that offers great views of the water front.

Within a half mile vicinity, you can visit attractions such as Museum of Contemporary ArtJohn Hancock Center and Chicago Water Tower.

If all the activity makes you hungry, you may want to choose from an Italian menu at Volare Ristorante (312-266-4500). Later, order some cocktails and unwind at the casual Pippins Tavern.

W Chicago Lakeshore located nearby can be a nice starting point for your Chicago experience. Affinia Chicago located one block from excellent shopping and top attractions will also prove to be a nice choice.
